Do you love Lego?  Do you love trains?  Do you love Lego trains?  If you answered yes, yes, and OMG YES!!! than you wanted to be at Delavan Train Fest.  KLUG's own train guru Stephen returned for 2016 and we stuck him in the basement of the VFW hall.  This is our third year at the city-wide event and we were pleased to be back where we started.  Train displays of all sizes were on display throughout area businesses in addition to the VFW hall.

Stephen wasn't alone, though.  He was joined by two new members Duncan and Cary.  Together with KLUG regular Geoffrey they put together a display that took up half the basement!!  There were several loops of track running around different city scapes and plenty of different trains to keep the masses entertained.  Total guests through the hall were estimated at 4200 for the weekend.  That is a lot of smiles!!

We would like to thank the organizers for inviting us.  Look for KLUG to return in 2017.

Our next show will be at EBSOLA school 2600 50th St on April, 15th at 4pm.

The focus of this show will be interactive exhibits and family activities. We will also have layouts designed and built by our Members on display.

  • Trolley Town (Our 32' Kenosha tribute layout complete with trolleys!)
  • 8 ft tall scale Saturn V Rocket
  • Star wars Models
  • train layouts, etc.

We will also have the KTEC 1st lego League robotics team doing demos all night!

Also, a first for us will be to have the 501st Stormtrooper Legion - Wisconsin Garisson there in all their costumed glory! They will be availiable for pictures too.

Cedar Ridge was kind enough to host us once again and it was a record setting year.  The main displays were at their largest to date.  The play brick area is new and improved.  Their were tons of new displays ranging from mosaics, paintings, spaceships, and a Great Ball Contraption module.

Geoffrey has expanded his Show in a Box to include a new area, "the other side of the tracks".  Stephen had his largest train yard to date and even an elevated train.  Eric has expanded his Harry Potter Experience to 7 tables worth and now includes almost all Harry Potter sets offered by Lego!  The Amusement Park did not get longer, but did grow deeper with a new boulevard in front of the park.

KLUG will be taking 2016 off to regroup and rebuild.  We will be back in 2017 for an expanded 2 day show around Grandparent's Day.

The first KLUG Bay Beach show was a great success.  Bay_Beach_Lego.jpg
